Raising Your Child Not by Force but by Love
Published in Paperback by Westminster John Knox Press (March, 1982)
Average review score:

FreedomI have read many, many books on discipline and childrearing in my search for the "right" way to parent. I have been very stressed after reading so many books that say the "rod" is the Biblical way, and if you don't use it, you are being sinful. I feel such "freedom" after reading this book. It seems so "right". "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 7:12 I also found "How to Really Love Your Child" by Ross Campbell to be helpful.

Reasonable Faith
Published in Audio Cassette by Turner-Welninski Publishing (01 April, 1995)
Average review score:

ExcellentThis audio book is of excellent quality, a real pleasure to listen to! Craig's voice is modified in accordance with the parts he deals with each chapter, this avoid montony. Even much better, the audiobook is agreemented by different musics or sounds that serve as transitions between the different parts, and make the book terribly pleasant. The audio realization is professional work. A complete chapter of the paper book has been removed (Blomberg' defense of the historical reliability of the New Testament) as well as a few short passages. The rest is unabriged. The strengths of this book are its accessibility (it is easy to follow, and presented in a direct, style, Craig addresses the listener); the historical approach for each topics (This is missing in most apologetics books. One can notice in particular how Craig masters the deist controversy , he did research on it); its dealing with existential aspect of apologetics ("the human predicament")
The shortcomings are the absence of a global framework, reasoning for integrating the diverse arguments; and one still need to read Geisler's Christian Apologetics for such an integration; Craig's view of Christianity as basically true, his circular reasoning (based on the Bible) about the Holy Spirit, and his uncritical endorsment of Plantinga's nonsensical epistemology ; This book is definitely intended to Christians (Craig tells how to convert non-Christians...), I would not lend to a non-Christian. Strangely, Craig addresses at the end of the album non-Christian listeners, asking them to make a commitment for Christ. But this may be a good thing for nominal Christians.

Reckless and Blue Window
Published in Paperback by Theatre Communications Group (October, 1989)
Average review score:

2 Great American plays, full of thought and feeling. These are two of the best contemporary American plays being performed today.
BLUE WINDOW, reminiscent of Virginia Woolf's "Mrs. Dalloway",
explores the possibility of sharing thought, words, and
perception, through the device of a party attended by several
disparate people.
RECKLESS is a wildly funny and disturbing trek across America
with Rachel, an Everywoman whose optimism is betrayed at every
turn.
Both can be seen as movies.

Records of North American Elk and Mule Deer
Published in Hardcover by Boone & Crockett Club (01 October, 1996)
Average review score:

A MUST for Elk and Mule Deer HuntersThis hardcover book is a must for anyone, like myself, who loves to hunt elk and mule deer. Each state and province is separate in the book and each animal from the Boone and Crockett is listed by the state or province from which it was taken. I also found the book, COLORADO'S BIGGEST BUCKS AND BULLS and Other Great Colorado Big Game, Second Edition, to be of help when planning mule deer and elk hunts. The Records of North American Ek and Mule Deer book has excellent field photos and tons of statistical information about my two favorite animals. Plus, I liked the chapter written by Jim Zumbo.

Red Devil: Able Company Double Dynamite

excellentI thought that this book was an excellent recreation of an infantryman's physical and mental challenges throughout a unenduring war. Nickell provides great description to those of us eager to learn about this historical event.I recommend it to everyone. I received this book through relatives in Nickell's home town.

Reggie Lewis: Quiet Grace
Published in Hardcover by Actex Pubns Inc (January, 1996)
Average review score:

A superb biography that will inspire young peopleAt a time when most sports biographies have titles
such as "I Love Being the Enemy" and "Bad As I Want
To Be," "Reggie Lewis: Quiet Grace" stands out
like a breath of fresh air.
It has a positive, inspiring message, especially
for young people (and not just basketball fans).
Reggie was not overly-talented,but he made the
most of the gifts he had."Quiet Grace" is a
wonderful account of his life, from his boyhood
in Baltimore to his stardom with the Boston Celtics
(It also includes an interesting photo album
section.)
I have given this book as gifts to a number of
teenagers, and they have all loved it. (Adults
enjoy it, too.) And "Quiet Grace" lays to rest
the rumors surrounding Reggie's tragic death.
Craig Windham's writing style is conversational,
colorful, and concise...just like his news reports
on National Public Radio.
This is an excellent, fascinating biography.
We use it for cultural awareness training in Indian Call Centers. The participants find the insights fascinating!
